One way to determine if the hotel is clean is by checking their comfort rooms.  In any hotel, there’s always that public comfort room which closely located at the receiving area or within the restaurant.  Most of the hotels have their own restaurant installed within the building.  Well, though the comfort rooms within this area might not appear as clean to you because most if not all, including the employees of the hotel are using this comfort room. But of course, from here you will notice if the hotel maintains a high standard of cleanliness.

Most of the time, visitors, before checking in, they are given the opportunity to select what rooms they want to avail.  The receptionist will surely offer and accompany you to personally check their rooms.  This is now your chance to inspect the cleanliness of such room.

First and foremost, check the comfort room.  if in any case, there’s a single drop of water within the lavatory, for sure, this hotel is maintaining a high and quality standards when it comes to cleanliness.  A defective lavatory or leak in some part of pipes is not excuse for the hotel not fix things right.  They are, after all, in that line business and they should fix all those things especially the lavatory and the comfort room in particular.

Obviously there are well designed curtains in every window.  Try to touch and flip those curtains as if you want to see the outside view, but your main purpose here is to distract those mosquitoes hiding in the curtains if there’s any.  And, if you see one mosquito flew, for sure, the hotel is not also practicing the standards of cleanliness.

There are other things for to consider to determine the cleanliness of the hotel.  If you are meticulous enough, you will easily spot those unfamiliar things within the room and in the comfort room.  You should remeber that this type of business has standards and a very high standards so to speak.  After all, you have all the riight to move to other hotels if you are not impressed with the first one.
